Is it dreary where you are? Here are a couple of nauseatingly cute videos to start your Monday off with:

I get that there’s an egg in your hand, but girl, you can skate faster than that.

When does this bus make a transfer?

I love both of these songs and singers, but I’m nearly cringing myself out of my chair here. Really, ladies? You have the tiny piano in the street. Drumsticks but no drum at the bus stop. Geeky guy with balloons. Geekier guy with a laptop. Adorable little girls. A roller skating nurse, with a neck brace? (Okay, that was kinda cool.) You’re cute; you’re singing about hearts and dancing. You’re meeting people and singing the lyrics of the song to them, as if in conversation—definitely always embarrassing.

So I watch a lot of music videos online. What are some more of the craziest/cutest?

Here is an interesting tidbit: my boyfriend and his friends in high school were obsessed with the swirlies and became their buddies via fan letters. Then his friend went to college in boston and she became real LIFE buddies with the swirlies (keep in mind this was the early nineties, when such things could happen). and NOW ron rege, jr is a member of lavender diamond and does cute & sometimes serious stuff.

I don’t watch a lot of music videos online but I was obsessed with feist’s mushaboom for a while and when people asked me what I wanted for my birthday I said I wanted the day to be just like the video. It looks fun! Horsies!

Man, that story is inspiring. I hadn’t educated myself on the members of LD until just now, but I’ve seen Ron Rege Jr’s stuff before! I have a McSweeney’s thing (a tome) with some of his comics inside.

The vid for “Mushaboom” is adorable and not too cringe-y! (I do hate to call the other two cringe-y.) I’m thinking that even if the horses didn’t become real, a ride on a carousel after all these years would be fun.
